After a grueling 24-hour competition, three Southview seniors won the ToledoHacks Hack-a-thon at the Toledo School for the Arts on Sunday, October 29th. Max Clausius, Alex Truman, and Ian Mahoney, all of whom are completing their second year in Byron Jones’ Honors Programming program. These boys won for their effort to use Java to encrypt messages into images, a program they designed through 24 hours of no sleep. The victory earned them a medal, SD card, Raspberry Pi computer and $100 Amazon gift card.
